What’s the first big change in 2012 for Kristen Murphy Photography?

Well that’s easy.

My photography name!!!

Starting March 1st – this blog will no longer be in existence.  But for now – we start small and go BIG.  So – head on over to Facebook and like K Rene Photography! You dig?!

Thankful Thursday

Today is the first Thursday of November.  The first Thankful Thursday.  I have so many things to he thankful for this year, but this one in particular begins the series of Thankful Thursdays until Thanksgiving.

I want to thank YOU.  My fans, followers, friends, and family who are my biggest supporters.  Thank YOU for all you do, the dedication to help put my name out there, scheduling photo sessions, etc.  You guys ROCK!

I’m making this a double Thankful Thursday.  I’m also thankful for HUGE changes in my business (and life for that matter).

And by huge, I mean going from this….

To this….

Yup.  This girl is changing her photography name. :) With divorce comes change, and change means changing my name back to my maiden name.  Being that my photography business included my married name, I have decided it’s time for a change.  BIG change.

With this change comes different options, packages, etc.  New Facebook fan page! Everything new!  So in December I will be putting together my Facebook fan page so I will need your help in getting everyone to like it and become fans!  Starting in January new pricing will go into effect (think affordable!!!) and February the website will be relaunched with the new name. :)

I know! Big changes right?!  I love it!!!!

Sigh.  I honestly don’t know where to start with this girl.  :)   Danielle is my cousin.  You see – Dani was a preemie.  Like literally she could fit inside my dad’s hand.  She was such a little squirt.  I remember her being born (as any 11 year old could remember!!) and not being able to snuggle our newest cousin for fear she might get sick because she was so small!  I remember them telling us that Mary (her Momma!) was in the hospital having her.  It was scary but at the same time – you just knew Miss Dani was a fighter.

This preemie is now a senior.  A senior ready to embark on her final year at Seaman HS.  Her smile/laugh is infectious.  She’s the first one to jump at the chance to hold your little baby at family gatherings, she’s the first to make you smile, she just has this way about her that makes you go “That’s our Dani!!!”  And she is! That’s our Dani!

Love you sweetheart!  Good luck on your final year and I really hope you become an awesome K-State Wildcat!!! After all – it is the best school E.V.E.R.!!!

I love referrals.  Seriously.  They are my favorite.  Jessica is a referral. Remember the totally rad senior session I had last fall with the gorgeous Lauren?! Well you see Lauren and Jessica?  Cousins.  WOOT!  Jessica’s Mom Jennifer e-mailed me saying she loved the photos I took of Lauren and wanted to book ASAP.  Awesome!!! I was so excited!  We decided on The Plaza after showing her Kate’s gorgeous senior session down there.  It was settled.  Book’em Dano!!  I hope you enjoy them! I know I sure did!  Jessica and her mom (plus little sister!!!) were absolutely awesome!! Thank you again!!

And for fun.  We did a jump off.  LOL! Her sister is to YOUR left, and she’s to YOUR right. :) I only wish I could have done the toe-touch and/or side hurdler (yeah I know my cheerleading jumps fools! LOL!) as good as they did it!!!

Good luck on your upcoming senior year Jessica!  You are an amazing girl and I wish you all the luck in the world and even more luck when you attend K-State in 2012! WOOHOO!! Go State!!!
