Thankful Thursday

Today is the first Thursday of November.  The first Thankful Thursday.  I have so many things to he thankful for this year, but this one in particular begins the series of Thankful Thursdays until Thanksgiving.

I want to thank YOU.  My fans, followers, friends, and family who are my biggest supporters.  Thank YOU for all you do, the dedication to help put my name out there, scheduling photo sessions, etc.  You guys ROCK!

I’m making this a double Thankful Thursday.  I’m also thankful for HUGE changes in my business (and life for that matter).

And by huge, I mean going from this….

To this….

Yup.  This girl is changing her photography name. :) With divorce comes change, and change means changing my name back to my maiden name.  Being that my photography business included my married name, I have decided it’s time for a change.  BIG change.

Special THANK YOU to FookaDESIGNS by Shanon Fouquet for the AMAZING logo!!! Go find her on Facebook and LIKE her!! She rocks!!!

With this change comes different options, packages, etc.  New Facebook fan page! Everything new!  So in December I will be putting together my Facebook fan page so I will need your help in getting everyone to like it and become fans!  Starting in January new pricing will go into effect (think affordable!!!) and February the website will be relaunched with the new name. :)

I know! Big changes right?!  I love it!!!!

Bret & Alex *Engaged*

Alex e-mailed me asking for prices for weddings.  I quickly answered her back.  After going back and forth, we decided to meet up.  Along with her she brought one of her dear friends and thus began the start of a great friendship!!

Bret currently works in OK and we had to be very specific about the times for their engagement session.  All I know was Alex wanted fall inspired photos for their fall wedding in 2012.  No problem.  I LOVE fall!!!

Oh did I mention they are both K-Staters?! Yup.  It was instant love for all 3 of us.  :)

Bret & Alex – I cannot WAIT for your wedding in October next year! We’re going to have so much fun and I am up for the challenge of your groomsmen Bret!!

My absolute favorite ring shot to date…. Yup.

Jeremy & Kassidie *7.23.11 Wedding*

After a few minor glitches and some crazy times, I’m please to blog Jeremy and Kassidie’s wedding.  I cannot tell you how honored I am to be asked to photograph weddings, let alone a member of my church’s wedding.  J&K are seriously the cutest things ever and they have two amazing families to boot.  Thank you again Mr. & Mrs. K for allowing me to play paparazzi with my 2nd shooter (The fabulous!) Amanda of A.Staats Photography.  Very honored.

Jon & Sandra *May 7, 2011 Wedding*

Sandra contacted me last Spring asking me about taking her and Jon’s wedding photos.  After meeting at a coffee shop inside the now closed Borders and looking at photos from my past weddings, it was official, I would be shooting their wedding.

I can’t thank Sandra and Jon enough for picking me to document their very special day.  It was a honor and pleasure and the sun was shining the whole day (It did get hot!!!).  With me, I was honored to work with Jackie Wilson of Wilson Photography and Kayla Stallbaumer of Capture (Photography by Kayla Stallbaumer).  We had such a blast!  I cannot wait to work with the ladies again!!! WOOHOO!

I would like to thank the following vendors for their awesome locations!

St. John’s Evangelist Catholic Church (um can we say gorgeous?!)

Victorian Veranda Country Inn

Here are some of my favorite images from this special day!!!

Jackie was with the boys and these next series of photos are fabulous!  They looked like so much fun to hang out with!!

Gorgeous shot of the amazing flowers – way to go Kayla!!!

Seriously Sandra – you are gorgeous!!

Kayla’s view….

My view.  Stunning!!

A bride always needs her girls…

And of course – a groom needs his boys.  Jackie’s view…

Again with the special little touches placed throughout the day. From the butterfly on Sandra’s bouquet, to the gorgeous flowers themselves, to the beautiful rings.  The details make the wedding come alive!

Taken by Kayla!!

The Wedding.  It was gorgeous.  Very old church with ornate details and a couple so madly in love.  Before the ceremony – Kayla hung back with the bride and her dad.  And lemme tell ya – those are my favorites.  The moments where Daddy is about to give his little girl away and you can see the pride and nervousness in the whole ordeal.  Kayla really captured these next two photos beautifully!

From the ceremony…

Lovvvve balcony shots! Photo by Jackie!

Jon and Sandra looped around and came back for formal photos inside the church – but before we took off for Mass Street, we had to get some in front of the gorgeous getaway car!!

OMG This photo oooozes love..I love how they are looking at each other!!!

I think the photos that won over Jon & Sandra were the ones I took of Rachel & Nick on Mass Street.  Probably my favorites too.  Just sayin’…

My view…

Jackie’s view…

Of course he had to dip her…

But jumping photos are the best!

Kayla hopped into the car with Jon & Sandra while Jackie and I headed onto the reception.  Needless to say I’m glad I sent her there! I need to re-think having just one assistant! HA!

Here are some of my favorites from the reception!  Enjoy!! Thank you again Jon & Sandra!  I wish you all the best in your new lives together!!!

Blurry but fantastic end to a perfect night…
