Yikes! I’m behind! I already have Week 15 all ready to go! Whoops!
Week 13 was just that. Food. I struggled with this one. I didn’t know what to put. Then my mom started making blueberry muffins, and well folks. The rest is history.
Week 14 – Flashed. Aka: Artificial Light!!! This was fun! I had some ideas and I really do love how they turned out. Who would have thought head lights from a mini-van would make for some fun photos!?
I have been totally looking forward to this session for a while now. You see – Rene is my good friend Renee’s sitter. She watches her gorgeous girls while Renee bakes amazing goodies in her bake shop. Well as a thank you for being so awesome – Renee purchased a gift certificate from me as a thank you for being well – awesome!

I don’t even know where to start with these two. Heather is family, but also one of my best friends. Kyle. Well Kyle is obviously her husband but he and I have come a long way in our friendship over the past 10 years. You see, Kyle and I had a major heart-to-heart way back during Heather’s and my college days. You see – I threatened him to never hurt Heather or else. And since then, Kyle and I are great friends and I know he’ll always have my back.
It was an unwritten rule that I would take their 5 year anniversary photos. Kyle knew this day was coming much to his demise. It’s better than a creepy old guy taking your photos right?!
After a wardrobe consultation at their house, we loaded up in their car and drove to Shawnee Mission Park. Gorgeous! The colors were awesome and so was the couple!
Love you guys! I cannot wait for the next adventure in your lives! BABIES!! WOOT!

Alex e-mailed me asking for prices for weddings. I quickly answered her back. After going back and forth, we decided to meet up. Along with her she brought one of her dear friends and thus began the start of a great friendship!!
Bret currently works in OK and we had to be very specific about the times for their engagement session. All I know was Alex wanted fall inspired photos for their fall wedding in 2012. No problem. I LOVE fall!!!
Oh did I mention they are both K-Staters?! Yup. It was instant love for all 3 of us.
Bret & Alex – I cannot WAIT for your wedding in October next year! We’re going to have so much fun and I am up for the challenge of your groomsmen Bret!!

So week 12 came and went. The theme was household item. I wanted to get my creative juices flowing again but just couldn’t think of anything to take a photo of that would scream awesome.
Until this happened:
In one of the guest bathrooms at my parents house sits this lovely little night light. It turns on when you shut the light off and turns off when the light is on. Cleaver. (It’s the little things) Oh and did I mention it’s in the shape of a moose?! You see my mom collects moose. It’s border line obsessive, but they are so stinkin’ cute.
This moose is glowing and I love this photo. Probably my favorite so far.
Up next this week – Food. Yeah. We could have a LOT of fun with this one!!
So I’m 2 weeks behind on posting my 52 weeks of awesomeness. Sorry!! For Week 10 – it was items that make your life easier. Mine would be clocks. Time. Without being able to look at a clock, I would be even more late than I normally am. Yeah. I’ll admit it. Being on time isn’t my best, but I try!!!!
The next week (Week 11 if you’re counting!!) is your favorite color. It’s pretty obvious what my favorite color is. Heck – I tend to tell people I bleed it. Yup. You guessed it. Purple.

After a few minor glitches and some crazy times, I’m please to blog Jeremy and Kassidie’s wedding. I cannot tell you how honored I am to be asked to photograph weddings, let alone a member of my church’s wedding. J&K are seriously the cutest things ever and they have two amazing families to boot. Thank you again Mr. & Mrs. K for allowing me to play paparazzi with my 2nd shooter (The fabulous!) Amanda of A.Staats Photography. Very honored.
