What’s the first big change in 2012 for Kristen Murphy Photography?

Well that’s easy.

My photography name!!!

Starting March 1st – this blog will no longer be in existence.  But for now – we start small and go BIG.  So – head on over to Facebook and like K Rene Photography! You dig?!

52 WoA – Weeks 17-21

Sigh. I’m so behind in posting these…Blowing the dust off! Mic check! 1-2…1-2…

Week 17 – Lines.  This chair is awesome.  Seriously – very 70s.  It sits in the parlor of my hometown church.  Man is it super comfy too…

Week 18 – What You Do Outside Photography – I could have put my day job, but this is what I do 24/7.  Being a mom. Chasing after stinky boys and being their shoulder to cry on, ear to tell secrets to and offer up cheeks for kisses. I love my job.

Week 19 – Weather – Um…Not creative at all. But can we say COLD?!

Week 20 – Emotional Attachment.  I honestly don’t have a whole lot of emotional attachments.  I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing, but I do know that I love seeing all my mom’s old ornaments that are dear and special to her heart.  This one in particular.  Dang this kiddo is adorable.  Even with her country singer inspired hair. She turned into a truly gorgeous woman! :)

Week 21 – Pets… The one thing I lost in the divorce were my dogs.  I miss them like crazy (well not the pet hair e.v.e.r.y.w.h.e.r.e.) but now I’ve adopted my parents cats.  They secretly love my camera. I don’t blame them. I love it too…

A contacted me to have photos taken of her and her dog for her husband R who is currently serving overseas.  You betcha! I love OpLove sessions.  It’s a part of my business that I truly love.  Knowing the soldiers are getting a special gift in the mail that they more than likely don’t know is coming!  What a great surprise!!

A&R I’m so glad A contacted me and I’m so glad you loved the photos R.  Here’s to your safe return!!! Thank you for fighting for our freedom!

Week 16 *Emotion*

This one was very tough on me.  Not because I couldn’t find emotion, but because I wanted to make that emotion truly felt in my photo.  I think I nailed it.

Happy 80th Birthday Grandpa.  This image doesn’t show how sad you are, but how blessed you are with a family and friends that always love you.  You are an amazing man and I’m so thankful that God gave me to you as your granddaughter.  You are a huge support and amazing mentor in my life.  I would be lost without you.
